One of the most celebrated and influential groups of our era, the quartet has given thousands of concerts worldwide, released more than 70 recordings, and collaborated with many of the world\u2019s most accomplished composers and performers across many genres. Through its nonprofit organization, Kronos Performing Arts Association (KPAA), Kronos has commissioned more than 1,000 works and arrangements for quartet. Additionally, the quartet has received more than 40 awards, including the Polar Music, Avery Fisher, and Edison Klassiek Oeuvre Prizes. <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">In recordings, Kronos has collaborated with artists as varied as Wu Man, Zakir Hussain, Asha Bhosle, Mahsa Vahdat, and Nine Inch Nails. The quartet has performed live with the likes of Paul McCartney, Allen Ginsberg, Rokia Traor\u00e9, David Bowie, Rhiannon Giddens, Caetano Veloso, and The National, among many others.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Kronos\u2019s expansive discography on Nonesuch includes three Grammy\u00ae-winning albums\u2014<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">Terry Riley\u2019s Sun Rings<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\"> (2019), <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">Landfall with Laurie Anderson<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\"> (2018), and <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">Alban Berg\u2019s Lyric Suite<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\"> (2003)\u2014along with dozens of other acclaimed releases. The quartet\u2019s most recent recording is <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">M\u1ef9 Lai<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\"> (2022), an opera by Jonathan Berger and Harriet Scott Chessman.
